Hello from Nova Scotia, Canada

Oh yeah....I don't have any black Silkies yet either. Are your Silkies bearded? Are they show quality? Apparently they are planning a poultry show for the Oxford Exhibition for next year.

I will have blacks for sale in the spring (I hope)

Small world. After I wrote you, I was telling my husband about it and I said to him, "I bet that's Joe from Feeds & Needs girlfriend". Hee, hee Because I remember him telling me one day that he had got silkies and cochins for his girlfriend. :)

yup thats us, hehe it is a small world. I see in your post you have Fjord, love love them, I have two horses too a reg paint mare and a grade mare for company for my mare.

Do you have any extra silkies/eggs for sale, do you have a incubator?

Hi everyone,
My name is Erik Weisgerber and both my wife and I are veterinarians from Delaware, Ohio. We've just moved a little away from the city and we've just built a chicken coup so we can have some chickens for pets/egg layers. We've read a lot about raising chickens and we're friends with some more experienced people and we've decided to give it a try. I've just found this site and it looks like it could be very helpful and useful.

Hello again,

I will probably have some grey and splash silkies for sale in awhile. I have six chicks now that are three weeks old. I probably won't keep them all. I have a gorgeous, Showgirl Rooster that I may need to rehome since I won't have room for too many roosters. I'm not sure what colour to call him. He was a splash but he's getting darker. He's a beautiful boy and so quiet. He was hatched June 1. I love him but may not be able to keep him. I also have a gorgeous buff silkie/cochin rooster that was hatched near the end of May. I think I need to rehome him as well because I'm going to keep my buff sizzle rooster and don't have enough room for both. He's adorable and cuddly so I hate to part with him, but I just can't keep them all. Let me know if you're interested in him. Do you have any buff cochin hens or australorp hens to part with? I also have some gorgeous buff orpington, black australorp, silver-laced wyandotte, and Rhode Island red roosters that were hatched this summer, if you're looking for any new roosters. They are all lovely quality.

Talk to you later.

Nice to see some Nova Scotians on here. I am new to the poultry world, just got my first chickens yesterday, 4 silkie/cochin crosses. I am in Onslow, just outside of Truro. I am in search of some more silkie/standard cohin crosses if either of you ever have any available.
