We have just recently moved to our small farm (4 acres) and are excited to finally be able to start raising chickens for eggs and meat! I was raised on a farm and we always had chickens for eggs and raised one batch to butcher each year, so I have been looking forward to this ever since I left the farm, 12 years ago. Our learning curve is likely to be steep as we go into this spring (it appears that I have forgotten a lot of what I once knew).

So glad I found this forum and can't wait to get to know you all!

Hey great to have you. BYC is the best place you could have found.

When you get a chance, check out the Okies in the BYC thread.
Lots of fellow Oklahomans there and a great place to visit.
What part of NW Oklahoma? We have people from the Panhandle to Broken Bow, Lawton to Miami and many points in between.
