Welcome Aboard! It sounds like you've planned this move really well, right down to taking care of the "New House, New Baby" issue. Hatching eggs were a relatively safe option on that one! I hope you've started building your coop and run already... you know how fast those little buggers grow! If you haven't, be sure to check out the coop articles here on BYC. There are TONS of great ideas that'll have you plotting and planning til the cows come home ... but that's a whole other building project....I've raised chickens in the past, but it's been ~8 years. Now, I'm planning to start a new flock since my husband and I purchased a home with acreage in NW Arkansas. I've been lurking the boards recently to refresh my knowledge. We are scheduled to receive Icelandic hatching eggs from David Grote this month. Fingers crossed we have a good hatch!
