(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Pretty new, we have had chickens for about 1 year.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Right now I have around 25 chickens
(3) What breeds do you have? Light and dark Brahma, buff orpington, golden laced seabright, white leghorn, americauna, black australorp and a few others
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They all seem to develop their own personality and i love to watch them grow from tiny chicks into beautiful birds
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I guess my newest hobby is hatching chicks. I just started hatching eggs from my Brahmas and now I have 4 little babies.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have 3 kids (19, 13, 11). 2 dogs 1 cat 7 ducks and 1 turkey, and of course a bunch of chickens. I am an ICU nurse and just finished my first year of NP school.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC doing a Google search when I had a hurt goose. It seemed as though there are many experts here and I have came back when I've had questions or concerns and have found very helpful information.
