Hi,

I am Chris from Ohio. Looking at getting chickens for the first time! The dairy farm across the street is even helping my wife and I choose!

Any helpful advice on breeds, coops, and other topics would be helpful!

The breed you choose would really depend on your situation. For instance if you have kids, cochins are an excellent friendly breed. If you are wanting them to lay eggs the red sex links are a good choice....if you are looking for beauty the white sultans are wonderful. If you want a motherly hen then you would choose some silkies

I agree with your cterbizan! It is hard to choose. My wife and I have been looking for a couple of weeks now and have not been able to narrow it down yet.
