I am new to backyard chickens. I joined the site in hopes for more knowledge about these beautifull birds that I have come to love. I recieved my first chickens eight years ago, two rhode island red hens at 9 months old. I still have one left her name is Isabelle. I hatch most of my own eggs. Currently I have 5 bl/b/sp Orpingtons hens, 1 splash Rooster, 1 splash bantam cochin,1silver penciled bantam cochin, 2 white bantam roosters and 1 silver laced whyandot.
