Just decided to join after many helpful visits over the last few years.
My son talked me into our first 6 chickens 6 years ago. We still have our original Buff Orpington rooster. We now have at least 30 at any given time. He takes several to the fair each year as 4H projects and I took about a dozen for the first time last year. Surprisingly they all came home with ribbons, lots of blue ones! Guess my son is a good teacher. Lol
Most recently I have been visiting the site more often to gain information on our newly acquired pair of IB peafowl. Also studying up on different breeds in anticipation of my mixed lot of bantam eggs due to hatch in a week. Only bantams we've owned are his Sebrights and my Silkies.
Well, you've figured out by now that I can talk
Lucky for you I usually keep myself too busy to do much talking.
I want to tell everyone how much I enjoy this site and have discovered over the years that when I'm looking for chicken info (and now peafowl) this is where I usually end up finding it.
Thank you to all the knowledgeable, experienced, helpful people here!
Now I'm off to go work on repurposing a couple of my pens!
