Hi everyone, I should introduce myself since I've posted several times and now lurk on a daily basis...
I have 3 chickens at the moment, waiting for 3 more. This forum was very helpful and encouraging when I lost 2 chicks last week to our escaped dog who thought they were play toys.
I've wanted chickens for a long time and now we finally have them, I am surprised by how much I enjoy them. My husband (my coop builder) and I have 2 daughters, they are 5 and 6. They love the country life we are giving them, on our one acre. We have a nice sized organic garden, and we are learning that whole process as we go as well. It is all very rewarding and I feel I am giving my daughters some valuable lessons for their lives.

Glad to be here, and appreciate all advice!! Jammie (pronounced Jamie)

This is "Black" and "Filly"
