Hello all fellow chicken lovers!
I'm semi-new to this hobby and honestly I've been reading many forums here for a while now, but just now needed to post something to the egg forum, but I see I need to start here.
So, my son actually is the one who got me interested. It's a long story but I have a variety of breeds. Some Rhode Island Reds, Marans (cuckoo and copper), Banties, Cochins and my latest addition is Buffs. I've already decided to get rid of the RIR's and Cuckoo Marans and get more Buffs.
I have about 30 laying hens and 15 new Banties (varieties that I don't even know yet) and about 5 roosters (one of each variety).
I have absolutely surprised myself at how much I love to mess with chickens. I'm an accountant by profession, raised a city girl, but gone country and want to learn more about chickens, so here i am.
