Hello from Omaha, NE

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to have found this forum! We moved to Omaha a year ago from Southern California. I was under the impression we could not have chickens UNTIL there was recently an article in the paper that you can request a permit. I have requested my permit and am anxiously waiting for an answer!

I have raised chickens before, in WA state and on a small farm. They are my most favorite animal ever! Definitly the most efficient little things!

Even tho I have had chickens in the past I still have alot to learn. I am a bit concerned that our winters here are so much colder than anywhere else I have lived.

There is so much info here that I will be able to read about chickens until my heart is content! I am hoping they approve my permit while I can still get chicks.

I am off to read the forum and learn a ton!
