Hi. I'm new to chickens and BYC. We have 6 hens ( I hope) and love them! They are a variety of breeds, 3 orpingtons, 1 speckled sussex and 2 mixes ( not sure...I'll post pics and maybe you can help me). For newbies we are doing pretty good. My husband built a beautiful coop and our chickens are very well fed. They're favourite is hemp hearts!!
I do have a question though...our chickens are 10 weeks old and I am wondering if any of them happened to be roosters would know by now. We originally had 11 chicks and I could tell some of them were boys - starting to crow at 7 weeks, displaying cocky behaviour...getting up on our fence as high as they could go. Just hoping what we have now are all girls b/c we are so attached. If i posted pictures would that help?
