Hey there, I'm just a gal from Oklahoma with a small hobby farm. I have seven hens and I enjoy the fresh eggs they provide for me. I live in a small city and my hens are kept in the backyard. They free range and as long as I can I try and keep them that way. I am lacking a rooster due to keeping peace in my neighborhood. I attend a local chicken auction on the regular but rarely purchasing anything. A few weeks ago I bid and won two bantam chicks. I haven't a clue what they are maybe some of you pros could identify for me? I was given two additional bantam chicks and they all stay together happily. I was given the white frizzle and the gray and white (it has feathered feet).

I also had three hens go broody this spring so I had a chicken friend give me some eggs for them to hatch. I received 15 bantam eggs and 23 Americana eggs. These are straight run with a mix of roosters.

Let me introduce my broodies...

Twanda, one-toe Dolores , & Annie.
I think they are orphingtons.

This is Dolores with her eggs hatching.

I chose 5 of my favorites and pulled them from the mothers after one week, I allowed the hens the rest and so far haven't had any casualties.

Here are the five I plucked. If you recognize types or any characteristics I should account for please let me know. Two of them do have extra toes.
