Hey guys. My chicks came on Thursday, all are doing well. I guess they're about a week old now. When do I need to start worrying about them flying out of the brooder. I built a plywood box that is 3 ft by 4 ft by 30 inches high. I have a screened top for it. They seem to be growing so fast!!!

I have the answer found one of my little ones perched atop of the brooder this morning. Time for a top

Hi Orange County. I'm in Newburgh Town and find that the zoning bureaucrats say there's a 2-acre minimum to have chickens. My property is just a hair too small. What's it like where you are?
