Crooked River Ranch
Hi! I'm Kathleen and super new to raising chickens. I'm pretty much just winging it.

We bought our first home and inherited the flock from the previous owners. Since moving in at the end of April, we've been learning as we go. It was always part of the plan to get chickens, I just wish I would have had a bit more time to read up! Oh well. Living and learning is better anyway. Sadly, I do not know what type of chickens we have-mostly because I've been too busy to ask Google and look at pictures.



Well, a little about me. I'm into gardening, going on motorcycle adventures, reading, naps, Disneyland, and wine.


I'm in the sexual health and wellness field and am pursuing a shift into childbirth. My partner and I have been together coming up on seven years. He's a Lead Plane pilot for the Forest Service.


Our family is currently two humans(myself and Trevor), two miniature English lops (Zoe and d'Artagnan, age 4), two kitties (Radley and her brother Roscoe, 5 months) and of course our six chicks (Hoot, Ringer, and 4 matching black chickens who's names didn't quite fit so we're working on new ones! We're unsure of their age, but they're all laying.)


I'm excited to learn as I go!
 
Yep, we'd love to see pics. Not only that, lots of folks here can tell you what you have without googling. Just easier, lol. But mostly it's fun to see everybody's babies. So glad you are enjoying your girls. They are such a hoot and they are the reason I get up every morning....(well besides my caffiene). :caf Welcome to BYC!
 
Which reminds me....what part of Oregon? My son was born in Salem and I lived in Silverton and Salem. Used to go to Depoe Bay just to spend the day. Pretty country.

SunHwakWon, I'll become a doula first and see if I eventually want to pursue the more medical side to become a certified midwife.



I'll add photos of everyone as I figure this place out. Lol. I'm at work so I'm trying it all on my phone for now. I'm excited to play around and see everyone else!!


Yeah, the girls get me up way too early every morning, Leighe! They're currently living right outside the bedroom window. Sigh.

We live in central Oregon. It's a anal community called Crooked River Ranch. It's about 45 north of Bend. Depoe Bay is so pretty!
