Hi. I live in Eugene, OR. My family got our first chickens 4 weeks ago. We have 3 Rhode Island Red, 3 Ameraucana, 2 Australorp, and 1 Barred Rock. We are enjoying them a lot and excited to see them grow everyday. We are new to raising chickens so being a member of this site will be very helpful.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. You have a nice mix of breeds. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs.
