Hello everyone- I am new to the site- my family just purchased 8 golden comets pullets. This is my 1st venture in raising chickens so I am a very new to the site. I have read thru many posts/topics on this site & they are all extremely helpful. So many wonderful people on here-

Thanks for the welcomes-

- My hubby & I have tried unsuccessfully for the past week to find a few egg laying chickens that were for sale-- He said to me the other night that I guess it is like trying to buy someones grown kids! lol- We werent too sure about getting chicks yet but we went ahead & got 8 golden comets. Not sure how old they are - there are 6 that are quite bigger and 2 smaller ones- Any ideas on how to tell how old they are? I will take some pics & post this week- any helpful guesses on their age would be great!-

I'm new too. First time around for raising chicks. We finished our coop/run and will be putting our girls out in a week or so I think. SO far we're loving it!

Welcome from Alabama!
My wife and I are also new to this. Our oldest girls are about six weeks old and will be moved out to the coop/run next week. They certainly are entertaining...we learn something new about them every day!
