I've been lurking here for a while and decided to finally post . I'm from york pa and have 16 chickens and am a rookie !
I have 6 Brahama Leghorn Cross 2 roosters 4 hens that are 5 weeks old , 6 barred rock and 4 rhode island reds that are under a week old . My future goal is 50+ eggs per week and 4-6 chickens for dinner/month along with a reduction in carpenter ants and other pests that I'm not fond of .We just bought this property with 9 acre's with a small orchard , greenhouse, and 2 streams so I'm hopping to be able to culitvate my own organic feeds, and be as self sustaining as possible!
I just bought a pop up camper for 70$ to convert into a chicken tractor , and in the mean time built this outa lumber scrap lying my property .
