Hello everyone, I am new to BYC and super excited to have found a forum for backyard chicken enthusiasts. My family is planning on getting some chicks so if anyone has any suggestions on what the best breeds are for the FL climate, I would appreciate them. We are looking for dual purpose birds that are good layers with a good disposition. Thanks in advance for any information.

Welcome to BYC!

Lots of great breeds out there that can handle some big heat. You might want to chat with others in your state to see what breeds do best in your climate and how to survive other climate issues you have in that area...
