Hello from Peabody, Mass!

Hello everyone,

Thinking about taking the plunge but would love to hear from members in Peabody Mass who already keep chickens and how things are going. Where do you source your chicks and materials? Was it simple to get started?

As far as location, I'm in a suburban area, back onto municipal woods, one neighbour's backyard and the other neighbour's parking lot. I have a vegetable plot and a bee hive in my backyard. I have some space for a coop and at least a thousand questions!!

Sounds like a go - parking lots don't care if you have roosters, the woods won't mind and if you give the neighbor ,with the adjoining back yard eggs, he should be cool.

I hope so. I know our town requires a permit. Was hoping to find someone out there who had attempted the process-and been successful!
