i had a langshan for a long time - her name was princess and she is in my profile picture she was my best friend and i lost her not too long ago, but i definitely will get more some day! they are the cutest and i love their fancy attitude.Hi, welcome to BYC! Do you have a langshan?
They are one of my favorite breeds.
Where in Pennsylvania. I'm near Philadelphia1. My mom has kept chickens for as long as I can remember, but I was never very interested in them. About two years ago, I took up an interest in chickens and started taking care of them for her!
2. I currently have 16 chickens
3. I have Orpingtons, Austrolorps, Easter Eggers, Salmon Favorelles, Silkie mixes, and Plymouth Rocks, but I'm hoping this list will grow!
4. My favorite aspect of raising chickens is how friendly they are; I love going out to feed them everyday and getting to pet and hold them
5. I also do rock climbing and four wheeling.
6. My family also keeps goats, horses, dogs, and cats.
7. I've known about BYC for a long time, but I have never joined any forums before so I was a bit hesitant. Every question I ever search for related to chickens has always had a super helpful and detailed thread come up, and it's saved some of my chickens before. I decided to join because the community seems super helpful and friendly!
I'm super excited to join and I can't wait to see what else this forum has in store!
