Hello from Pennsylvania

Hello everyone! I found this site a few weeks ago while browsing Google after my wife finally gave her consent to getting some chickens. I'd been floating the idea on and off for a few years and our two children wanted to do this as well. We also have neighbors who have been helping us with the project.

I wanted to say thanks for all the ideas I've been able to glean from this site on constructing a coop and run. Construction started a few weeks ago and it's currently under roof and ready for windows and siding. The coop will be 6x9 and we're figuring on 10-12 chickens. I'm amazed at how little I've had to spend on materials just by asking around. I'll post pictures of the finished product in the near future.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. My only complaint so far is that there's not enough time in the day to read all the good info here. Just gotta keep reminding myself that they're chickens... and not all that complicated.
