Hello!

New member from the UK here
smile.png

We've just moved into a new house with a chicken coop and a run that the previous owner used to keep chickens in. We've never had chickens before but have done some reading and are very keen to get some. We're going to settle in for a couple of weeks and then rescue some battery hens.

Mainly here to do a bit of reading and learn but also have some questions about the coop that I will post in the relevant places. Looking forward to being educated and receiving your knowledge

You have come to the right place for all the fun and learning! Have you stopped by our learning center and coop pages yet? Lots of good articles in the learning center on keeping chickens and some great coop ideas from our members in the coop section...

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

How great of you to rescue battery hens! Good luck with them! You've definitely joined the right place. We all love chickens and some of us are even battery hen rescuers. You may want to connect with @roostersandhens . She is has a hen rescue organization and knows a ton about how to care for them.

Glad you joined our flock!
