Hi Everyone,
We brought our baby chicks home yesterday. Five of them. Hoping none are roosters, lol. They are so cute! And doing great :)
 
I put a pic of our chics on my avitar. All five are doing great. One of them, I swear, she knows her name :) They will be two weeks old tomorrow.

Hi Lisa, I just moved to puyallup and I was wondering if you have had any problems with predators etc? I am in the process f getting a coop and some chickens. :) any advice would be great!
 
Welcome to Puyallup :) We haven't had any problems with predators. The neighbor cats do get on top of the fence and watch sometimes. We do see eagles flying overhead sometimes. But neither of those have ever bothered our chickens.

We recently added some chicks so we have 12 now (six hens, six chicks).

This site is so very helpful. You will find lots of good info here. And let me know if you have any more questions.

Sorry I am so late coming into this - probably way too late to welcome you as a NEW member but, it is so nice to see you are still here. A lot of people join and then you never hear from them again.
