Hi, Y'all.

My name is Ronnie. I'm a newbie to the chicken scene, but learning a lot here @ BYC!

We became chicken peeps at Easter time, thanks to TSC. We bought 18 straight run. All about 9-10 wks old now. Some are crowing... still don't know how to tell the rest.

By day, I'm in the automotive industry. Cad designer for a small co. that services Chrysler mostly.
By night I play guitar and sing solo in the bars for $ (pretty much everyone in the auto industry here has found another way to earn money).

My wife and 4 kids, and my dog, love the chickens. We get a kick out of watching them develop their own personalities.

I still have a million questions about this chicken stuff. Our goal is to get meat and eggs from our own backyard.

I'm not sure what breeds we have. I will post some pics soon hopefully as I plan to return often with many "for dummies" questions.
