Hey all,
I’ve followed BYC for the last couple years since I started with my first little flock. I started out with 6 baby silkies, ended up with 3 Roos and 3 hens. I got rid of 2 of the Roos and kept one. I tried in vain to hatch a few batches of eggs and finally let my only partridge silkie mother some eggs. Around the same time I ordered some babies from my pet chicken in October and they arrived that early November 2017 just 2 days before my silkie babies hatched. My silkie would not take in the 5 new babies, so I had to raise them, two tan and white polish, 1 bantam white head, black body, and 2 little black bantam Cochins. We had 4 baby silkies, 1 Roo and 3 hens. I gave 2 of the silkie babies away to a friend, and had to get rid of my older Roo and my baby Roo, my older Roo started attacking me really bad as well as anyone who came near him. So now I have 9 chickens. 3 white silkies, one partridge silkie, my 3 polish, and 2 Cochins. They bring me joy because they are so funny.
