I live in the city boundaries of Sacramento and do not have any chickens.

Maybe someday it will be legal for me to keep a few chickens, but for now, all I can do is learn about chicken keeping from this forum.

Thank you for welcoming me into the flock. I do hope it will become legal to keep chickens in the city. I probably could keep them now because I have a hidden area in my yard. The neighbors have large 9' bushes on their side of the fence and I have a huge shed on my side. The area I would house them in is completely covered and shaded by the large bushes and trees from the neighbors side. The area would provide about 40 sq ft of housing for the hens, but now I need to convince my husband that it's ok to be illegal.
