Hello everybody my name is Hannah and in new to BYC. I'm fairly new to chickens although my boyfriend, Mick, has experience and thank god hes here to help lol. Right now we have six Chickens: A White Plymouth Rock, A Buff Orpington, A Rhode Island Red, Two Ameraucana, and one mystery chick lol. I found this sight looking for answers when i first got my chicks about two weeks ago and just now signed up. Along with my boyfriend and my fabulous chickens, i share my home with my Pointer Ope, and my American Shorthair YoYo. So theres alittle about me and im glad to now be a member of the BYC community

Sounds like you picked out some nice breeds! Good that your BF has some experience with chickens. Lots of us had to figure all this stuff out all by ourselves! LOL

Glad you could join the flock! Congrats on your chicks I love raising chicks it's a super experience very rewarding and lots of fun too. Nothing better than seeing yiur chicks in the brooder happy and healthy. I love mystery chicks I put a couple of mixed breed eggs in my incubator on my previous hatch and it was great to see them hatch as it was the unknown as to what they would turn out like. When your mystery chicks is a few more weeks older you could post some pics in the what breed gender section for help on identifying your chick. So glad you joined the flock. Please keep an eye on your pointers, hunting breeds especially seem to go for chickens - in the wrong way.
