Hi!!!

I am moving to Sask in less than a month!! Where are you? We'll be in the south. I have two sheds that would be perfect for my egg layers (just boring run of the mill production reds) but I'm looking into meat birds to go into the converted garage. I have no idea what I'm in for in Sask. Is it as cold as they say?

We're in the north and ya, Saskatchewan's climate is kind of nuts. We had days this summer above 30'c and mid winter we'll be down around -30'c and a few days around -40'c or lower with windchill. The south has fewer trees in general so higher winds. Cypress hill's are beautiful though .

Not sure where you're coming from but, most people find the first winter the worst. Love their first spring and summer,especially if you get up to the lakes when it's really hot. Then by the time fall comes around it's a welcome break from the heat. When it snows again, at first its a novelty then after a few months you start looking forward to the spring again...
