I've just recently brought home some Shetland Ducks, they are almost four weeks old, today i've noticed them rocking back on their heels a bit, and then sitting down, they are all eating and drinking well, but i was concerned, one was more so than the others and seemed to prefer to sit a lot, even when eating at times. But they all seemed a bit sleepy (they'd just been having a nap). I hope someone can give me advice on this, if this is common in growing ducks or if they is a problem i should be addressing.
I'm currently on my gap year at the moment and i wanted a project, so i'm also hatching 12 Shetland duck eggs and two turkeys, these will need re-homing after a month or so, so if anyone is interested and lives near Fife also let me know, i won't count my ducks till they've hatch though! I've candled them and most have blood vessels, i even saw a few embryo's move! there were a few i could only see a dark mass though, i was wondering if i should through these out or wait a few days to see if there are any developments?
I'll look forward to any replies
