My name is Nate. My wife and I own a 12 acre CSA farm. We are devoted to heritage breeds and we hatch, lamb, kid and what-not most of our own livestock. We maintain larger flocks of chickens and ducks and smaller flocks of turkeys, geese and quail. All ,but the quail are raised in pasture based systems.

I have lurked on here for a couple years, but decided to post here. I have learned a ton from posts on this site and very much appreciate the sharing of info and experiences.

Thank you.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. As you have probably already discovered in your lurking, there are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
