I have a question about the cost of living in Seattle. Anyone want to try and answer?

I know Seattle proper is probably expensive, but if I planned an hour commute into the city, could I find a community where a 3 bedroom apt can be had for 700?

Didn't see your q, but for anyone in the future, it could be done depending on your standards of living, but you have to be decent away from the city... Home is just over 20 miles north of UW, it is usually an hour commute, can be 90 min on a bad day/game day. Add snow and that will be 2+ hours to go 20 miles.
