Hello, I have my first flock now 5 weeks old, 1 turken, 5 plymouth rocks, 6 easter eggers, 4 red stars, 4 black stars, 4 white leghorns and 3 unknowns as of yet. I have an organic vegtable and herb garden, 1 dog, 1 cat. I am raising my chics as organically as I can and plan to free range them when they are bigger.
I am interested in Turkens (necked necks), the 1 I have is pheasant color, I believe he is a roo, he is the largest chic I have, but he is quiet, mellow, forages great and is friendly, I would eventually like to breed turkens.
I,m also interested in any recipes for homemade feed and other ideas on feeding chics on live and fresh food sources or ideas.
Looking foward to hearing from fellow flocksters!!
