Hello everyone,
I am new here and have been thoroughly bitten by the backyard chicken obsession...
I am raising Blk Aussie's and Polish at the moment and am looking to get some blue Silkie's as pets for my daughter and further grow my small flock with some Blue Orpington's and Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. But, I'm open to discovering some new beauties I can't live without.
But, all must be well loved and cared for, and that's why I'm here*. I'm really enjoying looking through your threads, gleaning experienced wisdom and drooling over pictures of your flocks.
We have an acre of fruit tree's and a small organic garden that our chickens love to forage through.
We also have peahens, which really are so aware of everything going on, sweet, and so much fun to have around (our idea of 'watchdogs').
I look forward to meeting you all and enjoying time here on BackYard Chickens.
Thanks!
