Hello and welcome from over here in Cleveland, TN. I can see why there are bans on roosters and the number of fowl one keeps, but I don't understand why more towns/communities don't allow a few hens. I love dogs (have two GSDs), but if you ask me, living next door to a noisy dog can be far more intrusive and annoying than a few chickens. We have a neighbor who has a dog-breeding program and his dogs sometimes bark through the night. The neighbor's rooster is a pleasure in comparision.

Good luck with your chicken-keeping. Hopefully you have nice neighbors who will keep your secret for some fresh eggs every now and then. :)
