Hi

Sounds really nice, I'm jealous - 12 acres...and 100 chicks? Will they be free-ranging or do they all come into a barn/coop at night?

Welcome - I look forward to hearing more about your market farm.

Howdy from the Kitsap Peninsula of Washington State, USA! I have just 3 girls, Ginger an EE, Pearl a BA, and Ruby a French Black Copper Marans who'll lay her first egg any day now! These birds are SO much fun, enjoy!

Hi all, chicks are a hardy breed and our weather is very warm already up at 30 cel during the day so not much brood time needed- they can go out at 10 days! They will be pastured in pens similar to Joel Salatin's movable pens! Too many predators for completely free rangeand they too precious to lose even one!
