Hey everyone! I have recently been surprised with a handful of chicks, 4 weeks ago & have realized how truly awesome these birds are! I have no idea what the 9 that I started with are, but today I also purchased 3 silkies & 3 khaki campbell ducklings. They are all so wonderful, entertaining & personalities are shining through already. Any advice for a starter that you figured out the hard way?

Welcome!

Congratulations on a wonderful surprise which I am sure you will enjoy for many years to come.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends

I find the easiest way to get around this site is by using the search box. I'm probably as non-tech as humanly possible but, I don't let that stop me.
