Hello everyone!
My story goes...
I grew up in the country but as a farmer, not rancher. We never really had any animals except dogs. My DH grew up on a ranch with cows, horses, goats and ostriches. He said i could NEVER have chickens, because they are noisy, they stink and so on. Anyway, we took our kids to our livestock show recently, there was a carnival game where you could win chick. My husband had no faith in our children actually winning any, lol. so here come our daughters, each with a chick in hand!! rotfl!! now my dh and step dad have built me a henhouse in a very well secured corner of our yard for "our" chicks, which are now "my" chickens! yesterday i went to the local feed store and now we have 2 unknowns from the livestock show, 2 easter eggers and two more unknowns from the feed store! lol! so we went from "I will NEVER have chickens" to "OK, but six is the limit!!" here is my chicken home:
