Hello from south Texas

Oh wow
A little nervous now on the shipment.
Keeping my fingers crossed. Already begining with an issue. Fretting a bit.
Last three hatches haven't been successful. Idk why? Not doing anything different than before when I had a near eighty percent hatch rate?? All my research is leading me to assume whith the weather change, the humidity is wacky ?
I have ordered what is supposed to be the best incubator temp guage by burnsea. And have started marking the air cell area. From the hatch due for lock down Wednesday, indications are leaning toward low humidity, but I've always done a dry hatch with success. Adding water as of today but probably too late. I plan on washing the delivered eggs (something I usually don't do), keeping humidity at 50% until day 14, then 75% after that.

:celebrate
Hatching over the last three days.....worked my tush off to keep the hatch humidity at or above 70% but that was most defiantly where I was having issues. So far I have 80% of this lockdown hatched and healthy, 10% either piped or zipping (and bouncing like Mexican jumping beans!) lol. The other 5% idk yet. But even where I stand, after three complete failures, I'm excited!!!!

Ok, will focuse hard and pray the little guys cooperate with development and gender....
A couple stragglers I'm hoping pull through to complete hatching in the hatcher, but happy with the hatch. Haven't done a head count although am guessing thirty to thirty five? Approximately three or four silvers and the same on the Rosetta's. And two or three of the little black and white tuxedos. Idk where these came from? I do not mean brown tuxedos or even darker like tibetin tuxedos! I mean these little guys are really jet black (like sharpe black) and white? Either "oops" eggs mixed in with my order, or they're from my pen that contains the only mixed colors (tibetins and brown tuxedos) I have been increasing in the eggs for that pen? Time will tell. Will update if any show up in the next few hatches. Who knows, maybe I developed a new color strain. :-)
