Hi! I am from Chesapeake VA, and I have started into poultry. I've decided to have a small bird farm (we have a lot of unused land.) As of right now, all I have are two runner ducks. But I adore them, and raised them from day 1. I got them from Metzer Farms. I would love to have more ducks, but also chickens. There is a store up the road selling bantam chickens and I think I might have to grab some. But, they also have pekins ducklings. Maybe I will get half and half, :p.

I've heard chickens and ducks can't live together, is this true? If so, I'm not worried. Two pens is better than one anyway.

! Pleased you joined us! I have raised chickens and ducks together with no problems. I housed them separately but free ranged them together - no problems. Good luck to you and have fun with your birds!!
