Hi everyone! We moved to a 2.5-acre farm this past winter, and dived right in to having livestock! We have a lovely little group of Buff Orpington ladies and one rooster. They should start laying any day now! It's been a lot of fun to watch them grow. -Nicole

Love those Buff Orpingtons! Such friendly, docile birds.

Enjoy your lovely flock and I hope the eggs start coming soon!

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Oh those buff orps are so affectionate, funny, curious and friendly. They are my favorite breed!!

Have fun with your flock and welcome to our's!

Thanks! I've enjoyed our birds. They're not really tame, since we were kinda busy during their young years and didn't really handle them a ton, but they are cute. They follow me all over the place, and Mr. Roo is not aggressive at all, he just wants to know if I have a treat for him. :)

Welcome to BYC, Nicole! Glad you decided to join our flock. Buff Orpingtons are a great breed; hard, calm and gentle. I have some of them in my flock and my granddaughter has made pets of them. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
