Hello from Southern California!

Good afternoon, my name is Amethyst and I live in a little agricultural town in California. I've been raising and caring for chickens since I was in high school and I'm particularly fond of my turken. We currently have 1 guinea pig, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 1 fish, and 11 birds(2 rhode islands, 1 turken, 3 bantams, 1 red jungle fowl, 1 silver laced wyandotte, 2 barred rock, and 1 mystery chick). I used to come to the site to check out threads, but realized I should just join since I'm always on here, so here I am! I'm also currently going to school for welding and will be starting up carpentry soon, and I love gardening as well.

Carpentry skills are going to very helpful to have with animals around. It seems there is always some building project needed.
