Hello all,

I am thinking about having chickens and have tons of questions. I have been reading quite a bit here and on other sites, and I've read the book "Chickens: Tending a Small-Scale Flock by Sue Weaver" given to me by my landlord. I think i've figured out some things, and come up with tons more questions for every one i think i've figured out. I will be posting shortly to various areas about my questions. I look forward to learning from you all.

Hi and :welcome

Glad to have you here!
Good luck with your chickens, and I hope you find everything you need here. :D

Ok,as far as a chicken tractor, that is a deci
sion you have to make, they are good for city raising, but my opinion, if you live in the outer city limits, I would let them be free range.but that's just me:
ok,all chickens ate good boilers, game chickens are basically your Cornish, and all others are your fryers, thats another decision for you to make.:)
americanas are a good breed for layers and boilers,if your just looking for eggs meat, they're a breed you need.
If you are looking for just eggs and a loving pet, I would suggest
Barred Plymouth Rocks or Golden Buffs.
now thats just my opinion, hopefully others will give you there's. to.good luck.;)
