I don't actually have any chickens yet but I've been really enjoying this site and the forums as I get ready to finally do this. It has been a tremendous help in gathering the information that I need. My wife and I have been talking about raising chickens for years. We both really watch what we eat. Eggs are one of our main sources of protein and we try to eat as clean as possible, meaning no chemicals or additives. Raising our own chickens is about the best way we can think of to guarantee a clean, healthy food source. I look forward to learning from all of you and sharing as I go.

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! How exciting for you and your wife to be planning your new chicken ventures :D I'm sure you will enjoy it very much, they are lots of fun and very rewarding too. Fresh eggs out of your own nest box taste so good.

Wishing you the very best of luck for your future chickens. Be sure to ask any questions, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC and all the chicken chat :frow
