Hello people with chickens in their backyard! We are first time chicken owners in southern NH. We have 8 Easter-eggers all named after flowers - they are 5 weeks old, and ready to move into their coop. I'm a bit late on construction, but plan to have it ready for them this weekend...
I'm having a blast building the coop - I got the plans from construct101.com for an 8x10 coop/run which we modified slightly. I love working with my hands, and it's been fun collecting new tools to help with the process. Super excited to build the girls some perches and creative structures to explore once they're a bit bigger.
We also have a Brittany dog named Barley who has impressed us so far by not trying to kill the chicks yet.
