Welcome to BYC!

So glad you could join our community! Kelsie has you on a good path to all the learning definitely stop by our learning center for lots of good articles on getting started and raising your flock proper. Also, look at the breeds pages that Kelsie left for you too. Lots of nice breeds out there that make great pet and are good layers too. If you want a nice Lap Chicken, LOL, consider Black Australorps. My girls beg to sit with me. They are very calm, docile, tolerate small children, great on the laying and love affection. Buff Orpingtons are the same way. Both of these two breeds are Orpingtons. Orps are known for their friendliness.

Enjoy this new adventure you are on and welcome to our flock!
