(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new to chickens. I have been tossing around the idea for the past few years and finally decided to purchases my first chicks on 4/14/18.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? We currently have eight chicks. I estimate they are approximately 2 weeks old.

(3) What breeds do you have? We have four Rhode Island Reds and four black Australorps.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Google. I was looking for additional information and this site was often listed.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I breed snakes. I currently have Kenyan sandboas, Indian sandboas, Saharan sandboas, western hognose and boa constrictor imperator. Currently, I only breed Kenyan and Indian sandboas.

Interesting hobby you have! My oldest son grew up raising all sorts of snakes and lizards, they're all fascinating animals.
