Hey! I'm Corrie, super excited to be apart of Backyard Chickens now, I constantly check the website for all the answers to my questions and any advice that I feel like I need. It's been a huge help.

Currently, I have 12 chickens, 9 of them being hens and 3 roosters (one was a surprise to us)
We have Rhode Island Red, a few Leghorns and Black Australorps. Such a pretty variety! We also have 3 ducks, a Pekin and two Campbells. They all greet me at the front door when I come outside or when I pull into my driveway. I've always had ducks so this is my first time with chickens. So far so good!

Other hobbies... anything outdoors.. hiking, riding fourwheelers, kayaking/canoeing, fishing. I'm also a licensed wildlife rehabilitator for North Carolina. My boyfriend and I have 2 pitties and a pot belly pig named Harry. I work at a veterinary hospital so of course I'm all about animals.

I am so open to any advice and will probably have a ton of questions!

Nice to meet you Corrie, with your experience at a vet. hospital, you may want to hang around the "emergencies, diseases, injuries, cures, thread" to help out or to gain some insight into less common ailments.

Yes! Right now, one of my ducks has bumblefoot, thanks to this website and my wonderful boss, I was able to treat it and also get veterinary help all.
