Hi, I recently moved to Stuart and I was wondering if there are any laws/restrictions on keeping a few hens in my backyard. I tried searching google and I ended up here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have not run into any situation or rules yet, but i don't have any Roos. When we get a surplus of eggs, I share with neighbors, and they are penned up.

My little flock currently consists of

(1) Turken
(2) Chinese Silkies
(2) Buff Orpingtons
(1) Golden Laced Wyandotte (we think, possible mutt)
(2) White Olde English Bantams

If you need help building a cage instead of getting one of those awful crap prefab ones they sell in stores, I build them... Would be happy to assist you in getting one made. I do have one sitting here that could be use immediately that I'm not using, and it's designed to be taken down for storage, etc.
