Hello from Suffolk County, Long Island NY

Just stopping by to say hi. I grew up on a duck farm, and worked on a small poultry farm as a kid, but never had my own birds. We are in the research phase of our chicken career, but plan on starting construction on our coop in the next couple weeks, then getting 5 or 6 Rhode Island Reds. Any local resource suggestions would be great!
