I did not have a lot of luck with Silkies. I had two in the past and lost both of them

I used to have two Frizzles but sadly lost KiKi. We still have LuLu though, she is such a character

I need more Frizzles! However, we have a big move planned towards the middle of next year so not having any hatches or expanding the flock until after that.

Thanks for that info, I was thinking silkies look very delicate. You Move around a lot, is your hubby in the army? My australop and leghorn are real stayers but this Pekin pictured has won my heart. Sad to see her go through so much just to hatch some chicks.

Nope, hubby is not in the Army; we just seem to make lifestyle changes that require a move; usually related to work though.

Your Pekin is a cutie! When are the eggs due to hatch?

She's due any day 21 days today. she's lost heaps of weight and not eating. Doing all I can to keep her energy up.
